The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, eager to learn, strong work ethic, customer service oriented, and have a proven track record of success in outbound prospecting. You will cultivate relationships with prospective clients, follow up on leads and marketing campaigns. You will proactively reach out to new prospects to schedule meetings in order to understand their needs and work with the Sales team to turn meetings into opportunities and new clients.


Recent college graduates with no experience, who are goal-oriented, driven to succeed, strong work ethic, and eager to learn, are highly encouraged to apply!


What you'll do:


As a BDR at Berghuis & Hunt, you play a crucial role in driving new business opportunities and relationships with prospective clients. Here's what your day-to-day responsibilities will look like:


  • Proactive Prospecting: Utilize your proactive mindset to generate appointments through outbound prospecting via email, LinkedIn, phone calls and networking events.
  • Pipeline Development: Cultivate net-new prospects and build pipeline through outbound prospecting efforts (identifies targets, prepares for prospecting, prospecting, hand-off to sales) and relationship development.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with experienced sales counterparts by delivering qualifying leads and cultivating new prospects to enable the to achieve the company's revenue objectives.
  • Be part of a winning team: Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals such as calls scheduled, calls completed, qualified opportunities and deals. Convert outbound prospecting to meetings, opportunities and new clients with Sales team.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed about our services, value proposition, and points of differentiation. Enhance your conversations with prospects by becoming knowledgeable about out our offerings.
  • Driven by data: Keep track of your progress by entering data into our customer relationship management software. Attention to detail is key to ensuring no opportunity is missed.


What you'll bring:


  • You're motivated, eager to learn, and have a strong work ethic. Your focus on achieving goals will set you up for success in this role.
  • 0-3 + years' of experience in a high volume inside sales or similar environment
  • Ability to keep focus on the goal of obtaining meetings and finding new opportunities via outbound calling and prospecting activities.
  • Experience working in a customer service environment working directly with customers
  • Professional telephone and communications skills with a demonstrated ability to speak decisively and accurately.
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Experience entering customer orders into a business software system


What we offer:

  • Competitive Compensation: Anticipated 1st year total compensation range $ 50,000- $85,000 - commissions are uncapped, the motivated sales rep can exceed that range.
