Our client is a leading player in the renewable energy sector committed to driving the transition towards a sustainable energy future. As part of their expansion plans, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Manager to join the team.


Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process within our renewable energy projects in the across the US. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and services required for our projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project goals and company objectives.
  2. Source, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors based on quality, cost, reliability, and sustainability criteria.
  3. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to obtain favourable terms and pricing while maintaining strong partnerships.
  4. Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluation, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  5. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and finance teams, to ensure procurement activities align with project timelines and budget constraints.
  6. Monitor market trends, identify potential risks, and develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
  7. Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier information.
  8. Implement and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  9. Drive cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing, value engineering, and process optimization.
  10. Stay informed about emerging technologies, materials, and trends in the renewable energy sector to drive innovation and efficiency.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
  • Proven experience (5 years plus) in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably within the renewable energy industry or a related field.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in contract negotiation, supplier management, and procurement software/tools (e.g., ERP systems, e-procurement platforms).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Solid understanding of renewable energy technologies, materials, and supply chain dynamics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
