POSITION SUMMARY:

This person is responsible for packaging, labeling and stocking of manufactured and purchased semi-finished product. This position is critical for ensuring the customer receives a quality product in a timely manner.

SHIFT: Second (2nd) - M-F 2:30 -11:00 p.m. with occasional overtime.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Packaging & Stocking

  • Selecting work order from color coded lane or hot sheet based on priority
  • Audit quantity and accuracy of product against work order, send back to manufacturing if necessary
  • Review work order for special instructions
  • Select proper packaging materials and pack product
  • Print label and attach to packaged product
  • Take packaged product to the correct location to be stocked
  • Record location and quantity, initial and turn completed paperwork in to Inventory Control
Restocking Supplies
  • Inventory current supplies
  • Retrieve necessary supplies as needed

  • Maintain high level of attention to detail
  • Working cooperatively within team environment
  • Ability to follow established guidelines and processes in a patience and precise manner
CRITICAL FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
  • Moderate AS400 knowledge
  • Basic math skills
  • Moderate data entry skills
  • Forklift certification

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High School degree or equivalent required
  • Previous experience working in a packaging department preferred
  • Ability to lift, push/pull and stand for long periods of time
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Above average exposure to manufacturing environment
  • Must wear PPE in compliance with OSHA regulations
  • Frequently lifting and push/pull up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs
  • Walking and standing for long periods of time on concrete floors (full shifts)
  • Daily, weekly, monthly and annual deadlines
