Senior Manager of Digital Experience and Web Design (Temporary to Hire)

The Choice is facilitating an immediate search for a Senior Manager of Digital Experience and Web Design. This is a temporary to hire opportunity with a professional association in the higher education space.


This is a new position within the organization due to increased volume of work in this area. This role will work alongside another Senior Manager within the organization to oversee website content management, projects, and design.


This role will not supervise any employees and will not have direct reports.


This is DC-based organization. Candidates must be in the DC area and open to a hybrid position. The required in office days are Tuesday/Wednesdays/Thursdays. The office is centrally located in downtown DC, in very close walking distance to all Metro lines.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in digital project management, website management, digital marketing and/or website optimization. An advanced degree may be substituted for work experience. Substantive experience at the manager level is required.
  • Experience with Sitefinity (CMS) association management systems preferred. Experience with other similar platforms with coding experience will also be considered
  • Experience with (AMS) preferred or other email marketing platforms.
  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JS, and website analytics tools like the Google Suite (Analytics, Optimize, Search Console, and Tag Manager).
  • Website accessibility and mobile app development experience a plus.
  • Previous experience working for a professional membership association a plus.


Job Duties will include:

  • Manage and execute the day-to-day front-end operation and ongoing optimization of website and extended pages.
  • Manage content and postings on the website in close coordination with departments.
  • Design copy layout, landing pages, interactive visuals and other digital assets within branding guidelines and style guides.
  • Improve website performance by maintaining web standards and UX best practices.
  • Monitor web content for currency, consistency, accuracy and alignment with division and organization- wide priorities.
  • Provides Google Analytics reporting for the website pages.
  • Collaborate on short-term and long-term visions and strategies for website enhancements.
  • Provides consultative support for new digital technology implementations and integration.
  • Look for continuous improvements of Content Management System (CMS) and trains staff on CMS as needed.
  • Develop SOPs and web content calendars.
  • Make budget recommendations related to website and digital communications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


The position is a 35 hour work week.
