Automotive Technician


Job Details

Our client, a leader in the Electric Vehicle industry, is hiring an Automotive Technician to join their team in Chelsea, MA!

**This is a contract budgeted through July 2024 with benefits**

**Night shift: 4:00pm - 12:00am**

As the Automotive Technician, you will be working with our internal partners every day to assist with service needs and coordinate with our Service, Vehicle and Delivery Operations, and Field Service Engineer teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-delivery inspections on new vehicles, using a documented process, checklist, and guidelines
  • Perform or assist with assigned diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections on vehicles
  • Assist and support vehicle repairs in a setting outside of a service center
  • Conduct road tests on vehicles to ensure quality of the repair
  • Perform necessary parts operations such as parts ordering, receiving, shipping and inventory

Desired Skills:

**Must possess a valid driver s license, and maintain a clean driving record**

  • Less than 2 years of experience in a directly related trade (tire shop, for example, motorcycle repair shop, but not cashier); no automotive-specific training required
  • Experience in an automotive-specific environment with exposure to various repairs (usually an independent shop, or dealership -not only oil changes, or tires); automotive training preferred
