This is a short term temporary assignment. Only 5 weeks in duration!
This Desktop Technician position will be locally supporting a PC refresh at various locations for one of the largest automotive and power sports retailers in America.
Responsibilities:
- Installing, configuring and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues
- Repairing and replacing damaged, out of date computer and network components
- Ensuring the security of client and server computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software
- Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices
- Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly
- Testing new hardware and software before full-scale installation
- Traveling to various retail locations and communicating with team members
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of imaging both desktops and laptops
- Excellent Written and Verbal communication
- Attention to detail
Requirements:
- GED or High school diploma (Associate's and/or Bachelors degree preferred)
- 3+ years of experience reimaging desktops and/or Desktop Technician experience
- Access to reliable transportation between specified retail locations
- Ability to sit for extended period of time and ability to lift 25+ lbs
