Our client is seeking an experienced and talented Senior UX/UI Designer to join their team. As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you will play a key role in shaping the user experience and interface design for projects in military and private sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information science, human-computer interaction (HCI), or related fields, along with extensive experience designing complex systems and leading technical projects. This role requires a TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain clearance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design process for systems and projects directly supporting military and private sector, from concept development to final implementation.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, to define user requirements and design solutions that meet business objectives.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and analysis to inform design decisions and ensure a user-centered approach.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design concepts and solutions effectively.
- Establish and maintain design guidelines, standards, and best practices to ensure consistency and coherence across our products and services.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Serve as a technical project lead or engineering lead for selected projects, coordinating with development teams to ensure successful implementation of design solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Human-Centered Design, Human Factors Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a UX/UI designer for complex systems, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality design solutions.
- 2+ years of experience as a technical project lead or engineering lead, demonstrating the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive successful project outcomes.
- Technically proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator. Familiarity with Basic HTML5, CSS3; JavaScript and React skills a plus
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies, with experience conducting user research and usability testing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively articulate and present design concepts and solutions to diverse audiences.
