Production Manager- Food and Beverage


Job Details

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Production Manager in Cumberland County, New Jersey. This role entails overseeing the operational efficiency of the Production Department while collaborating closely with departmental managers and the Plant Manager to meet critical objectives and cost-reduction targets.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervising quality performance, schedule adherence, and line productivity within the production department.
  • Strategizing, developing, and executing departmental objectives.
  • Analyzing production schedules to coordinate necessary resources for optimal output.
  • Monitoring production metrics, identifying downtime patterns, and devising improvement strategies.
  • Fostering employee growth and performance through leadership, coaching, and mentorship.
  • Ensuring compliance with established standards such as GMP, HACCP, and Safety Rules.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with departments including Maintenance, Quality, and Finance.
  • Recommending and implementing enhancements to machinery and plant equipment for efficiency optimization.
  • Managing departmental budget to exceed expectations.
  • Performing additional duties as necessary.
  • Supervisory responsibilities: The role entails managing 6 subordinate supervisors overseeing hourly employees. Responsibilities include recruiting, training, setting expectations, assessing performance, and establishing strategic goals.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • The ideal candidate possesses strong attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and excellent time management skills.
  • Experience in the food/beverage industry
  • Report writing proficiency, organizational skills, and the ability to direct, coach, and train others.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $100,000-$130,000
  • Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k
