JOB PURPOSE:
The Maryland Title Processor will have experience handling Maryland residential files in a fast paced, title company office. Based in Rockville, Maryland, this position will handle a variety of tasks associated with preparing and processing Maryland files for closings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and process files for closings which may include the following: open files; send introduction letters; request title search & surveys; prepare commitments & title insurance policies; and enter fees into Title Express for preparation of CD &ALTA settlement statement (or HUD 1)
- Strong interpersonal skills for communicating via phone and email with outside Real Estate Agents, Loan Officers and Closers
- Other duties as apparent or assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge and Skills
- Must have a Title Producer License for Maryland
- Title Express experience is a plus
- Proficient skills with MS Office products
- Proficient use of a calculator
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organized and detail oriented
- Works well under pressure with deadlines
- Excellent customer service skills
- Enjoys being part of an office team!
Education and Work Experience
- High School Diploma and/or Associates Degree with a minimum of two years of work experience as a Maryland Title Producer, in a fast-paced residential title office
