We are searching for an experienced Electronic Assembler at our Oklahoma City facility.

Summary

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The Electronic Assembler is responsible for wiring, soldering, and assembling fabricated components to make subassemblies and subassemblies for electronic systems in conjunction with machining operations on-site at the Maxcess International facility in Oklahoma City.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Reads blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly and schematic drawings; receives verbal/written instructions regarding work assignments.
  • Aligns and assembles parts such as leads, coils, wires, tabs, and terminals into housing.
  • Installs components and parts such as switches, coils, transformers, relays, transistors, and semiconductor circuits on chassis, circuit boards, panels, and other units.
  • Routes and attaches wires and connectors to form circuitry and connects the assembly to power supply sources, switch panels, or junction boxes. Attaches hardware and seals assembly. Wave solder and prep equipment.
  • Examines parts for defects such as pinholes or chips.
  • Calibrates unit according to specifications.
  • Test operates unit to locate defects, measure performance, determine the need for adjustment, and verify specified operations.
  • Repairs defective units rejected by inspection or test personnel.
  • Mark and tag components so that stock inventory can be tracked and identified.
  • Enters information on production records, logs, and other report forms.
  • Complete assignments and tasks on time in accordance with production schedules and Supervisor direction.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form in English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion (use of arm-hand steadiness, finger dexterity, manual dexterity for small parts assembly, frequent use).
  • Maintain a clean, safe workspace.
  • Works well in a team environment.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Two years of related electrical assembly experience working directly in component assembly is required.
  • Experience operating hand and power tools, oscilloscope, multi-meter, soldering, and fault testing equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Electronics certification from a trade school or military electronics training is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk , and hear.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment (if entering designated manufacturing areas) safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, facial mask.

Work Environment

  • Work in conditions typical of a manufacturing environment noise, dust, odors, etc.
  • The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock.
  • The noise level in the Electronics Department is relatively normal.
