Description:
Reporting to the Director, Project Management, this position will be responsible for managing the new product development projects following a standard stage-gate NPDI process from feasibility assessment to introduction to market. Working with cross-functional stakeholders, this position will lead the planning and execution of product development projects consistent with the overall product roadmap and planned releases. Position is based onsite.
- Develop project plans, scope, timelines, budget requirements, and actively communicate and monitor activities to drive projects to completion with agreed performance, delivery time, and cost targets.
- Ensure timely creation of deliverables according to the NPDI process.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders throughout the project development cycle.
- Effectively implement and monitor risk mitigation actions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project status. Monitor and report progress including overall phase schedules, milestones, expense/capex vs budget, critical path, and resource requirements.
- Produce written documentation to convey critical progress information to stakeholders on a periodic basis.
- Oversee other technical projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or related technical fields.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in project management. PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
- Prior product development experience required.
- Microsoft Project preferred.
- Strong team player and communicator, with sound judgement.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and planning skills.
- Extremely motivated to meet deadlines managing multiple tasks, prioritizing, and passionate about going above and beyond in delivering projects.
