**Hybrid - 1 day a week onsite in Ashburn, VA.**
Our government client is looking for a Java Developer to join their team.
Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. We offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Pay Rate: $75.00 - $85.00/hr on W2
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be taken into account when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting is a reflection of a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided pay range.

Responsibilities of the Java Developer:
- Design and implement microservices using the Spring framework
- Use modern software engineering tools for design, development, and testing the software
- Present the solution at formal and informal design reviews
- Document the design according to the Government s system lifecycle methodology
- Provision, operate, and maintain systems running on AWS (or equivalent cloud providers)
- Develop microservices using Spring (Primarily Spring Boot)
Requirements of the Java Developer:
- A Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 10 years of technical experience
- Experience wiring up code to perform highly efficient CRUD operations on DBMS such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB with JDBC, JPA, Hibernate etc
- Experience and familiarity with Unix, Linux systems and commands along with some shell scripting
- Experience with object-oriented analysis and design techniques
- Experience with orchestration to develop a cloud solution
- Understanding of developing scalable web applications - infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, storage, monitoring, security etc.)
- Ability to lead and mentor junior level developers
- High level of self-motivation, desire to deliver stellar solutions and willingness to work in a distributed team environment
