Summary:

The Maintenance Mechanic performs routine and specialized duties to install, maintain, and repair machinery, mechanical equipment, and building structures. This role ensures the proper functioning of plant production machinery and building structures through scheduled and as-needed maintenance tasks.

Essential Functions/Duties:

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  • Repair or replace defective equipment parts using various tools.
  • Install industrial machinery and related components.
  • Set up and operate maintenance shop tools for repairs or fabrication.
  • Conduct routine plant maintenance on building structures.
  • Complete other assigned tasks by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Job Qualification Requirements:

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Mechanical understanding and knowledge of tools.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Operation of maintenance machines/tools.
  • Prior production/manufacturing experience is advantageous.
  • Basic computer skills.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in maintenance or related fields.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Industry certifications preferred.

Machines, Tools & Equipment, Software:

  • Forklifts, electric power jacks, lifts, ladders, hand tools, power tools.
  • Personal computer with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Forklift Certification (Preferred).
  • Electrical Technician Certification (Preferred).
  • OSHA Safety Certified (Preferred).
  • General Maintenance Certification (Preferred).

Physical Activities/Requirements/Conditions:

  • Sitting, standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), occasional exposure to cold temperatures.
  • Ability to work from heights and in various weather conditions.

Salary: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour


Expected hours: 40 per week
