We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team at VCA Pinnacle Animal Hospital. Are you looking for a positive, supportive team to be a part of? We invite you to be an integral member of our veterinary medical team and provide quality care to our animal patients in our hospital. We have several associates currently attending Veterinary Technician programs and pride ourselves in continuing to strive for increased knowledge and competencies.
The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient carewith the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen. In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Checking in appointments.
Providing support to our veterinarians and RVTs while working with patients.
Maintaining medical records.
Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients.
Filling prescriptions.
Completing follow-up calls with clients.
Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets.
Working Saturdays in addition to weekday shifts (part-time or full-time), when we re-open on Saturdays (we are currently open Mon-Fri).

We offer competitive compensation and great benefits for eligible employees, including medical/dental, generous personal pet care discounts and more! Compensation is within the range of $20.83 to $25.00/hour, depending on education and experience.
