High school graduation or GED required. Six (6) months customer service experience preferred. ? Basic Life Support (BLS), course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) by the first day of employment is required. Job Duties Maintains friendly, efficient service attitude towards patients, clients and co-workers. Follows all department and hospital policies and procedures and to promote patient care. Provides transportation of patients and items to various areas of the institution to facilitate patient care. Safely moves patients with traction, I - Vs, drainage apparatus, oxygen and other encumbrances. Greets patients and family members professionally and identifies oneself. Verifies patient identification, using two methods (patient name and patient date of birth). Explain where patient is going. Maintains patient/family confidentiality (HIPPA).
