Senior Financial Management Consultant

to join our team supporting the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) in Washington, D.C.What you ll do:The Senior Financial Management Consultant will provide business financial management (BFM) support to a Navy shipbuilding program office.Responsibilities:Serve as the lead for a team providing BFM and cost estimating support to a Navy shipbuilding program officeDemonstrate working knowledge and understanding of the complex requirements and financial analyses required to support the execution of an ACAT I shipbuilding programEnsure all teams have access to the proper financial databases and programs, as well as training for using all necessary financial systemsEnsure all personnel are properly trained and knowledgeable in DoD/DoN/NAVSEA financial related rules, regulations, policies and guidelinesEnsure the delivery of high quality and accurate products to the Government.Assist in the development of programs' financial briefings and reports, including analyses of programs' financial health and affordabilityAssist the Government in the generation of metrics and trend analysisAttend meetings and provide client support onsite/in person when requiredQualifications:At least 10 years of experience in financial management for ACAT 1 Navy shipbuilding programsExpert knowledge of Navy financial management systems including NEPS and NERPAbility to work with multiple stakeholders to identify and track requirementsAbility to communicate clearly in written and oral channelsProficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePointActive DOD SECRET security clearanceBachelor s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline from an institution accredited in the United StatesExcellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitaskStrong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skillsAbility and willingness to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or clientsWhat MBC offers:Competitive salariesComprehensive medical plans (Aetna) with Employee Assistance Program (EAP), heath savings and flexible spending accounts, and dental and vision coverage optionsOpportunity to earn spot awards and annual, performance, and chargeability bonusesTraditional and Roth 401(K) plansProfessional development including up to $2,000/year reimbursement for pre-approved courses, trainings, continued education, and/or certificationsPaid Flexible Time Off10 paid holidaysEqual Employment Opportunity StatementMBC is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer.
