Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver in-resident and distance learning instructional programs in accordance with course requirements. Use instructional methods, including guided discussions, lectures, demonstrations, small group exercises, seminars, workshops, and laboratories. Employ instructional technology in instruction and training, including Blackboard. Leverage assessment strategies in accordance with the course design, including instructor observation, testing, grading, and providing formal and informal student feedback. Apply subject matter expertise in the curriculum creation process, including content review and feedback to development staff. Teach instructional courses and leverage expertise in developing and delivering technical training and educational courses in academic, commercial, government, or industrial organizations, Apply expertise in geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) remote sensors, technology, and data science. This position requires the ability to travel.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:


  • Understanding of Space/Counterspace policy

  • Knowledge of Space systems and technologies including Space-Based IMINT, Space-Based SIGINT, and orbital mechanics.

  • Experience with instructing or solving intelligence problems and filling intelligence gaps through collection of airborne and space-borne imagery.

  • Experience with creating, submitting requirements, or instructing GIMS or a similar tool.

  • Knowledge of geospatial data and imagery analysis, including how to use image science, analytic methods, data science, open source research, and human geography to characterize events, discover relationships and trends, and produce GEOINT.

  • Knowledge of national imagery exploitation processes, policies, and production cycles and the principles and applications of geographic information systems.
