JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
The *** Molding & Capital Tooling Team is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate, plan and manage execution of several mold & tooling replacement projects in support of ***'s recently acquired manufacturing site in Grand Rapids, MI.
You will have the autonomy to lead, direct, plan and organize to achieve successful implementation of several tooling projects at Tier 1 suppliers to the *** Grand Rapids (MGR) site. This role requires rigor, the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and anticipate challenges that need contingency plans. Communication skills to reach consensus between stakeholders are also essential for the successful candidate.
Hybrid - 3 days in the office
A Day in the Life:
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of mold & tooling replacement projects and serves as liaison between multiple disciplines internal and external to ***.
Reviews status of projects and budgets, and prepares status reports for the MGR Integration Team.
Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals and objectives.
Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients and other stakeholders.
Plans, directs and implements all aspects of the company's design and development of new medical device products or software systems
May develop, evaluate, implement and maintain technical quality assurance and control systems or reliability systems and standards pertaining to materials, techniques, or company products
Oversees the investigation and evaluation of existing technologies
Guides the conceptualization of new methodologies, materials, machines, processes or products
Directs the development of new concepts from initial design to market release
Manages feasibility studies of the design to determine if capable of functioning as intended
Monitors documentation maintenance throughout all phases of research and development
Organizes the coordination of activities with outside suppliers and consultants to ensure timely delivery
Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
