Marketing Manager


Job Details

The Marketing Manager will report to the Vice President Sales and will manage products for UpLift Brands to include Germ-X , Sonoma Spa, Mountain Falls, Citroma and other personal care and consumer products. Responsibilities include understanding the current markets and competition, working with cross-functional teams to define and develop pricing strategies, and overall promotion of products, developing sales resources and assisting in existing and new business development. This position will be responsible from concept to shelf. The Marketing Manager will use advanced analytical and presentation skills to develop customer facing, category centric strategies. This position will be responsible for capturing and reporting KPIs related to the selling and execution of category and channel specific commercial strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop new product and Innovation Roadmap to include sizes, fragrances, product attributes and key product claims by working cross functionally with R&D, package engineering, graphics development, finance and sales teams to ensure successful market launch.

Develop and utilize shopper and category insights from syndicated data and other sources to develop customer-facing analysis that support key channel and category commercial strategies and drive performance against annual business objectives.

Create and deliver professional and influential selling materials that highlight customer benefits during key category reviews.

Conduct robust analysis using research, category management capabilities, analytical tools, and data visualization to identify and communicate business opportunities or challenges.

Develop and maintain product selling tools for all products.

Own go to market acceleration of products by creating clear communication to sales team and creating tactical opportunities to drive brand growth.

Develop key sell-in storytelling of new/base products across multiple channels and retailers.

Support consistent brand and messaging across full portfolio.

Provide strategic 3-year recommendation on portfolio white space.

Participate in POS forecasting for the total brand portfolio with sales and demand planning.

  • Manage Brand P&L (New product pricing strategy, volume, expenses, product lifecycle).
  • Conduct presentations to internal teams and key strategic retail accounts.

Champion Continuous Cost Improvement programs.

Collaborate and work cross functionally to develop the product specifications item set-up for Customers i.e., Case/Pallet/Item specs, UPC codes, Item codes.

Education Requirements:

A bachelor s degree required; MBA preferred.

Experience Requirements:

5+ years of consumer-packaged goods product management/ brand management experience with a record of increasing responsibility and has been promoted to Product Manager or above. Experience leading new product development processes from concept inception through market introduction. 2+ years of profit and loss responsibility, including managing brand expense budget.

Strong knowledge and proven experience in leading primary research projects with a focus on delivering actionable insights. Solid practical knowledge in synthesizing syndicated sources (Neilsen / IRI, etc.). Understanding Neilsen / IRI syndicated data and panel usage.
