Ensure Resident Care Continuity: Medical Records Clerk Needed at Asbury Heights!
Are you detail-oriented and passionate about accuracy in healthcare?
Asbury Heights is seeking a meticulous and organized Medical Records Clerk to join our team! In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our healthcare department by maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records for our residents.
About Your Role:
- Process and maintain resident medical records electronically and in paper format.
- Organize and file medical documents according to established procedures.
- Retrieve medical records for physicians, nurses, and other authorized personnel in a timely manner.
- Scan and upload medical documents into the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of all medical records.
- Respond to inquiries regarding resident medical records in a professional and confidential manner.
- Assist with generating reports and maintaining medical record statistics.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on regulations and best practices in medical record keeping.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a high school diploma or equivalent and previous experience in a medical office setting (preferred).
- Possesses strong organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Maintains a high degree of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
