District Sales Manager
The District Sales Manager (DSM) will manage the day to day operations of their assigned district andfocus their time on support of the Sales Reps and Area Sales Managers with service on existing accounts and new account sales and start up on new accounts as they are sold. The DSM will report into the Regional Sales Manager.
Responsibilities:
Ideally no personal book of business maximum $50k-150k
60-70% of time should be field based including time with reps, ASMs, and Sales Leads
Development and performance management of the team including Area Sales Manager, Sales Leads, and Sales Reps
Team management of 4 6 direct reports (AM s included); no more than 10 in the group
Responsible for the training of Area Sales Managers and supporting the training of Sales Leads
Assist with hiring needs as necessary
Have a deep understanding of the markets including, competition, suppliers, and customer base
Set sales targets for the sales team according to territory initiatives.
Manage profitability, maintaining a group sales of $1 - $5 million
Responsible for monthly reporting of sales/billings activities and projecting future sales growth
Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting as well as ad hoc
Requirements:
High School Diploma, College Degree Preferred.
Experience in water treatment, water hygiene, environmental health and safety, and/or secondary disinfection is required.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales management and a proven track record of success in technical sales and leading teams
Internal candidates must have consistently opened a minimum of 10% growth annually for their group.
Able to identify new business opportunities, develop and implement water treatment solutions for our prospects and customers.
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with experience working on teams in multiple locations.
Knowledgeable in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Salesforce or other CRM experience and other internal sales tools
Demonstrated leadership competencies, organizational and time management skills.
Overnight travel about 25%
