Software Engineer

At Product Insight, we're in search of a skilled Software Engineer to take charge of our software development efforts. In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate closely with other engineering leads to design, develop, and test a diverse range of software solutions. Your involvement spans across all stages of product development, from early prototyping and feasibility analysis to overseeing production deployments. Responsibilities:
- Work with a cross disciplinary team to identify software and electrical requirements and architecture based on customer needs
- Design, develop, and test software for a wide range of applications
- Quickly prototype and determine feasibility of design and technology
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Work with management to develop timelines and work schedules
- Coordinate cross team engineering tasking
- Provide technical guidance to other software engineers
Skills/Qualifications Required:
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Experience with multiple common software languages (C/C++, Java, Python, etc.)
- Knowledgeable of a wide range of software layers (firmware to front end)
- Experience with robotics and computer vision systems
- Strong understanding of common communication protocols, TCP / UDP, CAN, I2C, SPI, UART etc.
- Follows good coding practices and has a strong desire for quality
- Experience with ML pipelines is a plus
Education and Experience:
Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience and 5+ years of software development is required. Prior experience in a start-up environment is a plus!
