Location: Columbia, SC (onsite Tues-Thurs)
Duration: 4/15/24-4/11/25 with potential extension/conversion
Rate: $77/hr

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Developers to undertake the analysis, design, programming, and implementation of our most complex applications tasks and projects. This role involves working closely with business analysts and team members to deliver technical solutions that meet business requirements and are aligned with our IT strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the analysis, design, programming, and implementation of complex applications.
- Provide technical direction and support, acting as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor, and change agent.
- Ensure solutions align with business and IT strategies, complying with architectural standards.
- Develop, code, test, and debug complex application programs.
- Offer design recommendations based on long-term IT strategies.
- Participate in component and data architecture design, product evaluation, and buy vs. build recommendations.
- Guide lower-level programmers/analysts and lead complex projects.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Advanced understanding of development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies in various environments.
- Extensive experience with programming languages, platform capabilities, and methods of systems analysis and program design.
- Strong analysis, decision-making, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Extensive knowledge of interpersonal skills/team building and project management concepts.
Required Technologies: Big Data technologies, Cloud-based technologies (AWS EMR, State Machines, Step Functions, CDK, Glue, TypeScript, CloudWatch, S3, Glacier Archival Storage, Spark Scala Python).
Nice to Have:
- AWS DataSync, AWS Lake Formation, AWS Redshift, Cloud9, Hive, Kafka, HBase, Oozie, Sqoop, Git, IntelliJ.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Equivalent work experience considered.
- Minimum 8 years of application development, systems testing, or related experience.
