Primary Responsibilities
Be an active team member for Environmental Planning projects - Potential to be a Deputy Project Manager on Environmental Assessments
Provide technical NEPA writing for technical sections of environmental planning documents and peer review of some document sections
Work on several projects concurrently
Occasional travel within and outside of the U.S. to military installations and defense contractor facilities
Collect project-related data, which may include research, interviews with government agencies and clients, map reviews, field investigations, etc.
Conduct environmental impact assessments
Assist in preparation for and participation in public information meetings and hearings
Assist public and private clients with permit coordination, acquisition, and compliance for wetland impacts, bridge construction, and threatened/endangered species
Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, or a closely related field
Minimum 5 years of technical and/or field experience preparing environmental documents, specifically NEPA reports
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel)
Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills
Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving, and research abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in a related field
NEPA document development experience
Preference is given to local candidates

Typical starting pay range for this position in Colorado is $77,693.00 - $110,990.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
