Want to join us?Your new roleDimensions provides its unique data assets and its ontology-based knowledge extraction solutions as a comprehensive offering to key clients from the top 50 pharma and beyond. We take a modern cloud-based big data approach and provide clients with flexible analytical applications creating the insights they need - either as standard offering or custom implementation. As the Dimensions offering grows in the Corporate market, it has become critical to grow the Dimensions Corporate team to best reflect our customer's needs. In addition to the growth of the Dimensions offering, the Product Solutions Manager team is also responsible for growing Altmetric business. On the Dimensions front, research discovery and analysis remain the key drivers to usage, while Altmetric focuses on research attention and impact. Product Solutions Manager roles are focused on ensuring a well-rounded product proposition for all users that will enable them to achieve these key aims. The PSM team will support the sales team in converting leads into customers, and ensure that these customers are satisfied and their expectations are met or over-fulfilled, thus leading to renewals. The primary focus of this role is to act as the key product specialist within the pharma and life sciences domain for your region and specialty, working closely with colleagues from sales, marketing, engagement and consultancy to help drive new sales and to support our existing client relationships.You will own the overall sales relationship for the region and segment that you will serve, and will be Digital Science's 'subject matter expert' for Dimensions products and Altmetric. You will work with colleagues throughout the Dimensions and Altmetric organisations to tell the stories that share the power and richness of our unique datasets.What you'll be doingSupporting the sales performance of the EMEA/ Americas region, plus others as required Defining and executing the commercial plan to generate and advance sales opportunities in key industries and countries by:- Working with marketing and the wider Digital Science sales team to develop and deliver sales campaigns- Supporting or running virtual client meetings, in collaboration with the Digital Science sales team- Attending and speaking at conferences, webinars and user events- Developing and executing thought leadership plans Protecting and growing existing revenues with key clients by:- Serving as a consistent contact point for "high-touch" customers- Aligning with sales and to deliver engagement activities post-sales- Analysing upsell and cross-sell opportunities for key customersActing as key point of contact at both Dimensions and Altmetric for Digital Science's local sales teams, creating and executing custom demos, participating in customer visits, and preparing pricing proposals and SOW statements when requiredSupporting the configuration of custom dashboards (setting up search strategies)Inputting into pricing, processes and other commercial strategy decisions Contributing to the Altmetric and Dimensions value propositions as we develop our existing portfolio and diversify with new consultancy servicesKey performance indicators: Working with sales to ensure agreed business milestones and targets are met or exceeded.Ensuring product sales pipeline is maintained.Customer satisfaction, as measured by annual check-ins.Achieving long term account goals in line with company vision and values.What you'll bring to the role3 years' experience in a pre or post-sales role, or other client-facing or consultancy rolesExperience in (or selling to) the pharma industry, with a broad understanding of requirements for data and analytics, e.g. within R&D, information management, medical affairs or other business units. Experience in biomedical search of scientific documents (publications, clinical trials)Experience in technical strategy, project management, and process design; basic programmatic skills (e.g. SQL, R) and working with complex data via direct programmatic access (e.g. API) is highly desiredAnalytical skills and a sense of structureFamiliarity with complex, matrix organizations and remote working environmentsA self-starter with a high level of productivity and good prioritization skills needing little direct day-to-day managementExceptional written and verbal communication skills to engage with customers, the wider pharma/corporate community, and the team, including excellent abilities at producing and presenting slide decksAbility to establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers and partnersExperienced public speaker comfortable with speaking to large groups in-person and virtuallyProven track record of anticipating and responding accordingly to the needs of colleagues and customersAbility to evaluate, and make decisions based on lead conversion reports, sales pipelines, client usage dataAble to travel 20%, mostly in the local area but with occasional overseas tripsNot sure you meet all qualifications?
