Construction Safety Coordinator


Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation and enforcement of safety programs and policies.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate safety training sessions and ensure all personnel are adequately trained.
  • Assist in the investigation of incidents and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor subcontractors' adherence to safety regulations and company standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
  • Support the Safety Manager in promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.
  • Communicate safety requirements and updates to project teams and subcontractors.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in construction safety coordination or related role.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, DOT).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications in safety (e.g., OSHA 30-hour, First Aid/CPR).
  • Experience with safety management software and systems.
  • Understanding of highway construction processes and equipment.


Perm $65 - $85k + company vehicle
