**IT Support Specialist**

**Location: Pittsburgh, PA**

**Position Summary:** Provides hardware and software support to internal customers. Provides guidance and training to Associate IT Support Specialists. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include the following: * Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, sets up, configures, and repairs computer systems, servers, hardware, network equipment, and computer peripherals

* Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems

* Analyze and make recommendations for hardware and software standardization

* Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups.

* Resolves trouble tickets for IT related issues

* Ensures security and privacy of company data and equipment

* Sets up and maintain Exchange accounts for users

* Uses discretion in the use of outside vendors to resolve issues. Works with vendors engaged to resolve issues

* Works on project teams as assigned to complete work correctly and on schedule

* Provides superior customer service to IT requests and questions of the staff

* Mentors and supports Associate IT Support Specialist

* Create/update documentation, procedures, and processes used by the team.

* Maintains safe work environment by following standards and policies

* Performs other duties as assigned

* Technical degree preferred

* Certifications from CompTIA, Microsoft or HDI preferred

* Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area

* Familiar with a variety of the fields concepts, standards, practices, and procedures

This position has no direct reports

To perform this job successfully an individual must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to consistently document systems, processes and procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

**Mathematical Skills**

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

**Reasoning Ability**

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be customer focused.

**Computer Skills**

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in: Microsoft Desktop operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Office365 desirable), Remote Desktop / Virtual Desktop connections, business applications and software. The individual should have general skills and abilities in: Server Operating Systems, network configuration, backup and recovery technologies. Experience in virus/malware detections and prevention required. Experience successfully trouble shooting hardware and desktop PC issues needed. Familiarity with SLA driven Service Desk software.
