We are looking for an Assembler B to assemble various parts of the tank car and attach as needed. The qualifications for the position is having the mechanical ability to assemble parts and read and understand blueprints.
Job description
Assembler B is an integral part of our manufacturing process. The requirements for this position are:
- Strictly adhere to safety standards, comply with designated PPE.
- Read and understand blueprints and instructions, and mark parts appropriately
- Safely, operate machinery, joists, and cranes to move pieces into and out of work area and position pieces for processes and operate some processes
- Maintain a work area in a neat and orderly manner and report potential hazards
- Read and properly use measurement tools
- Perform fit-up functions to assemble, position, adjust, and secure parts to each other and to tanks.
- Build flanges, grind seams, edges, and cuts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
