Position Summary

This role entails executing various tasks essential for Infusion Pump Service operations, encompassing repair, refurbishment, analysis of out-of-box failures, and complaint investigations. Additionally, it may involve mentoring new hires on critical facets of the Service process, such as PCI (Product Complaint Investigation) analysis, device history examination, and comprehensive root cause analysis down to component level if necessary.


Responsibilities also include meticulous documentation of Infusion Pump PCI, repair, refurbishment, rework, and labor and material tracking activities. Proficiency with the device tracking system (Oracle) is essential to ensure accurate recording of complaints and results, meeting technical standards and encompassing all necessary elements.


This position is based entirely at our Salt Lake City, UT facility.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Undertake routine and intricate tasks related to the repair, rework, refurbishment, or upgrades of medical devices.

Analyze and troubleshoot customer device returns to identify root cause issues.

Adhere to Quality and Operational procedures to meet the requirements of applicable Quality System Regulations, ensuring cGMP compliance.

Conduct Level 0 and Level 1 PCI investigations regularly, collaborating with Senior Technicians, QA, Customer Service, and Global Complaint Management teams as needed.

Contribute to notebook/engineering studies, out-of-box failures analysis, and yield improvement efforts.

Potentially perform onsite troubleshooting and repair of devices at customer locations.

Collaborate with Manager and QA to address process and/or product non-conformities.

Support On-the-Job training activities as required by assisting Senior Technicians or Engineering.

Maintain a clean work environment by daily cleaning of the assigned work area.

Engage in special projects as they arise.

Education and Experience

High School diploma or GED equivalent.

A.S. degree in a technical discipline preferred, or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in high-tech manufacturing, service repair, or related environments.


Travel Requirements

Typically involves travel less than 25% of the time.


Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Job duties are carried out in a service repair hub environment.

Requires a high level of hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to handle electro-mechanical medical devices.

Must be capable of lifting 30-40 lbs.
