This job starts between $90,000 - $100,000 and offers amazing benefits including 100% employer-paid medical/dental/vision, generous health savings account contributions, 401(k), 80 hours vacation after 1 year (120 hours+ after 5 years), 2.5 hours of sick pay per pay period (7.5 days/year), 11 paid holidays per year, wellness reimbursement program, short-term and long-term disability, group life insurance and a $750 signing/retention bonus ($250 upon signing, $500 after 6 months of employment). The schedule is M-F 7 am-3:30 pm.

You Will:

  • Oversee all aspects of our production processes and our production team. Inspire your team to achieve new heights and be future-focused while maintaining the quality standards of NWPL.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to our production supervisors and manufacturing team as a whole. Ensure employees have what they need to be successful and engaged in a safe and positive environment.
  • Be proactive in anticipating the needs of production and people as the facility grows, matures, and evolves, and continually seek real efficiency improvements through technology and new processes to improve people s lives/jobs.
  • Be a member of the Management Team and align people and production with the goals, vision, and future of NWPL.
  • Function as a bridge between the Management Team and the production employees, providing the production team with the information they need to succeed and be fully plugged into NWPL as well as communicate production needs, requests, changes, ideas, etc. to the Management Team.
  • Oversee R&D, safety, training, and maintenance programs.

  • Production and processing experience with knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, production methods, capacity analysis, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to communicate verbally and digitally with various personalities at various levels/departments (as well as outside vendors), keep communication channels flowing, and help lead company meetings.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, able to identify problems and respond accordingly.
  • Can oversee several production activities simultaneously to ensure all processes achieve quality results.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple teams/team members to ensure everyone is on the same page and working towards a common goal for projects/policy changes/product changes, etc.
  • Advanced computer skills with programs such as Microsoft Office and experience (or willingness to learn) with more advanced and/or emerging technology (ERP software, digitization, 3D printing, etc.)
  • Fundamental knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel management including employee development, performance management, recruitment and selection, training, etc., and general knowledge of the major employment laws (discrimination & harassment laws, protected leave laws, OSHA/workers comp, ADA, etc.) is preferred (or are willing to learn).

Education/Experience

This position requires 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and 3 years of experience as a Production Manager (or the combination of training, education, and experience that enables the performance of all aspects of the position).
