Role


As part of our team, individuals in this role will oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of utility-scale PV (and energy storage) sites within the Energix US portfolio. As technicians, they will collectively and individually manage multiple solar power plants, ensuring safe, efficient, and optimized operations. The ideal candidates will leverage their expertise in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical components, performing testing, maintenance, and repairs on major and balance-of-system components used in PV power generation.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Execute assigned operations and maintenance tasks for utility scale PV projects.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks as directed by supervisors and maintenance management systems.
  • Conduct corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance operations on various equipment including inverters, trackers, combiner boxes, PV modules, DC and AC collection systems, energy storage systems, MV/HV systems, SCADA, meters, and communication networks.
  • Generate and complete work tickets and maintain tools, vehicles, and work locations in optimal condition.
  • Participate in training sessions, including in-house, online, and OEM facilities, as required.
  • Respond to emergency outages and be available for on-call duty 24/7.
  • Oversee third-party testing and calibration services, as well as site vegetation management.
  • Document maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and contribute to troubleshooting and maintenance procedure documentation.
  • Support commissioning and post-commissioning activities and undertake other technical and administrative duties as needed.
  • Uphold workplace safety standards and contribute to their enhancement.
  • Train new O&M technicians in safety and maintenance protocols.


Requirements


  • Electrical experience with an understanding of the National Electrical Code and OSHA safety practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Capacity to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions while engaging professionally with personnel and contractors.
  • Willingness to work on-call shifts, weekends, and in outdoor environments, including travel to remote project sites.


Education, Training, and Certification:


  • Valid Driver s License
  • Preferred: Medium and High Voltage electrical training and certification, OSHA 10/30 hour Certification.


Salary


$33-$45 hourly and overtime available plus 20% yearly bonus
