Hue (poweredbyhue.com) is a fast-growing, venture-backed B2B SaaS e-commerce startup on a mission to help all shoppers feel represented in their online shopping journey. Hue's technology embeds authentic video reviews on brand's DTC shopping websites, leveraging a community of 2000+ diverse micro content creators to generate UGC. Hue has significant wins with 30+ brands and retailers such as Tatcha, 111SKIN, Credo Beauty, COVER FX, Live Tinted, Ceremonia, and more.


Hue was founded in 2021 by Harvard MBA classmates Janvi Shah (previously PM at Google), Nicole Clay (previously Director of Marketing at L'Oreal), and Sylvan Guo (previously Growth & Analytics at Tubi/Fox and Airbnb), who all experienced the pain point of struggling to find products that suit their skin tone and body type when shopping online. They went on to raise over $4 million in venture capital funding and were recognized as Forbes 30 Under 30, Inc FemaleFounders 200, Tory Burch Fellows, Google for Startups Accelerator, Entreprenista Career Pivot of the Year, and ELLE Future of Beauty 2022.


Summary


We re looking for a passionate and driven Founding Account Executive to join our team. You'll be the first full-time Sales hire outside of the founders and presents an opportunity to have a huge impact in a fast-growing startup. You'll own the full sales cycle from building a pipeline through to closing deals, and will be responsible for building strong relationships with your customers (beauty brands and retailers). You'll will work closely in a cross-functional start-up environment with Hue leadership.


We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, organized, driven, passionate, relationship-oriented and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment. The position has a preference for someone based in San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, or New York City, but are open to remote.


Must haves:

  • 1-2 years in SDR/BDR role and a history or prospecting clients and building a pipeline
  • 2+ years in AE role, ideally selling SaaS software with $5-30k ACV
  • Ambitious self-starter
  • Experience in the startup space or with high-growth companies
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated individual with a proven track record in sales and business development to help meet the company s objectives and business targets.
  • Highly strategic with strong business acumen and critical thinking ability
  • Proven ability to negotiate agreements and close deals
  • Independent, highly motivated and comfortable working at a fast pace
  • A passion for Hue s core mission and values


Nice to have:

  • A network within the beauty or retail/e-commerce industry
  • Existing domain expertise within beauty and other eCommerce verticals
  • Experience with sales tools such as Hubspot
  • Experience with Canva


Role and Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end ownership of deal sourcing from mapping and prioritizing of sources through cold outreach, in person sourcing, events, etc.
  • Prioritize and manage the entire sales funnel process from initial interest to negotiation and close
  • Track and report on key performance and sales metrics, including revenue, funnel conversion, customer acquisition costs, and margin
  • Negotiate business terms and manage contract processes through closure
  • Employing superior negotiation and communication abilities as an influencer while embodying unquestionable integrity and trust
  • Develop and manage targeted pipelines where you understand the partners needs, pain points while understanding core priorities drive urgency to get deals moving through the sales funnel
