The basic construction elements in a BRUCHA project typically involve insulated metal panels ( IMPs ) and doors. BRUCHA is well known in Europe for having a broad and very innovative portfolio of IMP products wall, roof, and exterior facade components for building envelopes that are energy efficient, price competitive, and easy to install.

After many years of project work around the world, BRUCHA established a subsidiary in Denver, Colorado in early 2018. Detailed Position and Candidate Description


Job Summary


Brucha Corp is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Material Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our commercial/industrial construction products division, you will be responsible for accurately estimating material quantities and costs to provide Unit Price and Lump Sum quotes for insulated metal panel projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities


  • Review construction documents, including plans and specifications, to understand project requirements
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, including Owners, General Contractors, and Installers, to gather necessary information and clarify project scope
  • Conduct takeoffs using construction estimating software or manual methods to determine material quantities for insulated metal panel installations
  • Utilize industry expertise and knowledge of Brucha products to establish unit prices for insulated metal panels based on project specifications and requirements
  • Prepare comprehensive and accurate quotes, including material quantities, unit prices, lump sum costs, and delivery schedules, in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely sourcing and delivery of materials to project sites
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and project kick-off meetings as needed to provide technical support and address any inquiries related to material estimates and specifications
  • Monitor project progress and update material estimates as necessary based on changes in scope or unforeseen circumstances
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop innovative solutions and value-added services to meet customer needs and enhance competitiveness in the market
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to make data-driven decisions and optimize pricing strategies


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is a plus, but not required
  • Proven experience as a construction estimator, preferably within the commercial/industrial construction sector
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials and methods
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software such as Bluebeam, Stack, or similar tools
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications suite
  • Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately calculate material quantities and costs in both metric and imperial measurement systems
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Familiarity with procurement processes, logistics, and supply chain management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks

Work Environment


The Construction Material Estimator will primarily work in an office environment, with occasional visits to project sites and client meetings. The position may require occasional overtime hours to meet project deadlines and accommodate different time zones.


Salary


Salary for this position typically ranges from $60,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
