Operations General Manager


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise onsite and remote operations teams to effectively manage various systems and projects.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for operational processes and procedures.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor staff to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Delegate responsibilities to optimize company resources and achieve operational goals.
  • Coordinate staff scheduling and equipment utilization to support material handling, logistics, manufacturing, maintenance, and safety compliance.
  • Foster efficient teamwork and productivity, emphasizing continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational objectives and enhance efficiency.
  • Implement and refine operational processes, systems, and policies aligned with Eden Foods' mission.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement among operations personnel.
  • Anticipate and implement necessary adjustments to optimize operations.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and data management to meet legal and operational requirements.
  • Cultivate and enhance relationships with external partners and vendors.
  • Regularly update the Company President on operational issues and progress.



Key Duties:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Direct and manage warehouse, transportation, and food production operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company SOPs, federal and state regulations, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with management to facilitate effective communication and decision-making.
  • Establish and maintain effective equipment maintenance programs.
  • Develop and analyze metrics to measure productivity and quality.
  • Determine staffing and equipment needs based on production requirements.
  • Monitor and enforce OSHA and DOT safety standards.
  • Oversee inventory management and accuracy.
  • Manage operational budgets effectively.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and communication channels.



Requirements:

  • Relevant experience and education in the food industry, B.A preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with organic agriculture and food handling is advantageous.
  • Team-oriented with strong computer proficiency.
  • Operational expertise with a willingness to adapt and learn.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
