You're a problem solver, a coach, a mentor.You're the team orchestrator. The person that creates the calm from our storm!Playnetic's management approach focuses on indirect / servant leadership, as our designers (and everyone else) have a high level of autonomy. You're there to support our designers make good decisions, which ultimately helps them produce their best work.OK, so you get the point. You've done this before and it is a given that being a good communicator is a part of this role. Here's a breakdown of how we'd describe the core components of this job:Eyes and Ears:

You're always aware of where the designer's heads are at. You can identify and communicate issues as they arise, and you create an open and collaborative environment. You make team members sharing their issues just feel easy.First Responder:

You're ready to step in and support the designers with any issues. Ideally, you will help them solve issues independently or escalate them to the relevant parties. You resolve problems quickly, even in difficult situations. You're just good at getting stuff done!Values Promoter:

It's really important to advocate for and reinforce best practices within the team's workflows naturally. You can understand the reasoning behind practices and priorities and help designers incorporate them effectively.Coach and Mentor:

You manage quarterly and annual goals and salary and career mapping to guide mentoring and training efforts. Drive and support designers in their goal progress on a day-to-day basis, focusing particularly on developing soft skills like autonomy and collaboration.

You've got a solid grasp of game design across the board, from understanding design theory and psychology to hands-on problem-solving and iteratingWhen it comes to leadership, you've got the knack for guiding teams of autonomous workers.
