Print Production Material handler - 1st shift (6 am - 2 pm)

****SUMMARY****

Reports to Bindery Supervisors. Moves materials between press, bindery and Mailhouse areas as directed by the supervisors. Cleaning and organizing around equipment and supply racks. Moves skids and organizes them appropriately by department and job.

****QUALITY CONTROL****

* Checks that all material delivering to Mailhouse or warehouse is labeled correctly

* QCing of paperwork and load markers

* Delivers samples to appropriate areas and recipients.

* Organizes the overs bin and assures operators are correctly logging overs

* Organizes materials by item number, job, zones, schemes, drops, groups, components, dates, versions, codes, skid numbers, etc.

****PRODUCTION****

* Coordinates with production supervisors to insure the materials are delivered and organized correctly

* Organizes material around the equipment

* Consolidates left over materials and waste materials in appropriate locations

* Replaces recycling receptacles when full

* Fills storage areas with supplies as received

* Assists in bindery or press production as needed

****MAINTENANCE****

* Keeps work areas clean and organized.

* Sweeps on a regular basis to maintain cleanliness.

****SAFETY****

* Knows and follows all safety procedures

* Operates all equipment in a safe manner:

* Is proactive in regards to Safety and encourages proper safety habits in others

* Reports work related injuries to supervisor immediately

* Stores hand jacks safely in skids when not in use

* Prevents safety hazards IE: skids on edge, trip hazards, spills, cords, etc.

* Never lifting more than the capacity of the equipment

* Uses caution when operating equipment around people

****ATTENDANCE AND OVERTIME****

* Controls tardiness and the number of unscheduled days off

* Works over time when needed to satisfy customer demands. Over time may be required because of maintenance needs, scheduled or unexpected repairs, work load, holiday schedules, employee vacations, etc.

* Able to work OT on your normal shift hours, flex hours, weekends, coming in early or staying late as the necessity calls for.

****EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE****

High school diploma or equivalent. Able to test and be acquire certification on all equipment.

**LANGUAGE SKILLS**

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read, understand and verify information from packing slips, receipts, invoices and BOLs. Relays issues and information to supervisors and management in verbal and written form.

**MATHEMATICAL SKILLS**

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to accurately track a running talley. Ability to measure and read labels and count weights, sheet counts and carton counts.
