JOB SUMMARY:

To assemble and perform mechanical adjustments and repairs on precision composite aircraft seats.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

I. Performs a variety of diversified bench assembly operations and mechanical adjustments and repairs on precision aircraft seats requiring close tolerance fitting.

a.Installs seat control mechanisms, arm and head rests, seat belts, life vests, drawers, etc.

b.Installs precisions swivel, recline and slide apparatus. Makes adjustments as necessaryfor proper operation.

II. Disassembles, reassembles and assures proper operation after complete paint and upholstery operations.

III. Troubleshoots and performs mechanical adjustments and repairs on aircraft seats once they have been installed in the aircraft.

IV.Requires using power tools such as sanders, rivet guns, air drills, air screwdrives and hand toolssuch as wrenches, files, hammers, mallets and awls.

V. Responsible for the quality of own work.

VI. Performs other related duties as required.

**Qualifications**

EDUCATION:

Requires the ability to interpret blueprints, apply shop math, and use some measuring devices. Equivalent to two years vocational high school.

EXPERIENCE:

Over one year and up to three years bench assembly and/or mechanical experience.
