Job Description

Under the direct supervision of the Senior Director of Administrative Services, with considerable latitude for initiative and exercise of judgment, the Sr. Administrative Business Analyst performs confidential and difficult work for EITS Chief Information Officer (CIO) and EITS Senior Leadership. The selected candidate will perform administrative and operational support for C-Suite executives involved in the development, implementation, and executive management of programs and policies for NYC Health + Hospitals.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides senior level administrative support and coordinates activities for EITS Chief Information Officer that are highly confidential and sensitive in nature.
  • Serves as liaison between the office of the BOD, Senior Executive staff, other Executives and Officials within the Corporation, and external offices and/or agencies.
  • Works closely and effectively with CIO to maintain and keep her/him informed of upcoming appointments, project / follow-up commitments & other work-related responsibilities.
  • Responsible for preparing and editing correspondence and confidential reports for EITS Chief Information Officer.Including BOD documents, taking & maintaining minutes of proceedings, conferences and meetings as well as follow-up items of action plans.
  • Participates in and/or relieves health care executives of administrative duties, and performs the usual duties of a secretary acting in a highly responsible capacity requiring knowledge of NYC Health + Hospitals' policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Proactively supports and assists with the preparation of presentation materials, reports, and communications within the context of departmental objectives.
  • Prioritizes conflicting needs, handle matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
  • Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.
  • Responsible for maintaining the department's SharePoint and intranet pages
  • Perform other duties as directed
  • Participates in training programs to acquire knowledge of H+H's operations.


Minimum Qualifications
1. a. High school diploma or educational equivalent; and five (5) years of clerical experience including two (2) years as a stenographic secretary; or,
b. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, and one (1) year of experience as a stenographic secretary; or,
c. An associate degree with specialization in Secretarial Science and three (3) years of clerical experience, one year of which shall have been as a stenographic secretary.
2. The ability to take dictation accurately, rapidly and to transcribe. Ability to exercise discretion and diplomacy in all internal and external contact relationships and to exercise initiative in the preparation of routine correspondence, in handling administrative details, and to maintain confidentiality of all executive and health care system matters.
3. High level verbal, written, and secretarial skills and knowledge required; or,
4. A satisfactory combination of education, training, and experience.

Department Preferences

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and other Requirements:
  • Proficient in all areas of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, Visio
  • Excellent office management skills
  • Demonstrates expert level verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Experience in Social Media web platforms, web design and content production is a plus


Years of Experience:
  • One or more years of executive assistant experience or
  • Three or more years of high level administrative secretarial or assistant experience.
