Interprets and implements policy and directives. Identifies and resolves or coordinate environmental program deficiencies. Assist Environmental Manager in the implementation of the environmental compliance program. In Environmental Manager absence functions as the coordinator and is responsible to provide continuity of environmental program oversight and develops/manages base environmental training programs. Responsible for administration, training and record maintenance of the hazardous waste and universal waste management. Recommends safer alternatives for surface coating and ozone depleting compounds. Maintains air emission database up to date.+ Assist the installation environmental manager in the preparation and execution of the budget planning and programming process as required. Facilitates the 125th Fighter Wing Environmental Management System (EMS) by ensuring that all personnel maintain EMS Awareness Training currently and assist in managing the EMS program reporting responsibilities. Assist in the installation qualified recycling program manager as required.+ Generate periodic statistic reports used to evaluate program effectiveness, prepare and issue general correspondence, manage multiple databases, attend meetings, take meeting minutes, assist during presentations and briefings and prepare reports as required. Participate in installation emergency response exercises as needed. Escort contractor personnel while performing their duties in the installation.
