Director of the Electrical Engineer Department

The Director of the Electrical Engineering Departement Responsibilities will include: business development, project management, team leadership, performing detailed electrical evaluations on all types of equipment relating to failures, damage, defects, and maintenance and safety issues. Some assignments may include the analysis of personal injuries, electrically-related fires, and design/installation issues related to electrical utility equipment, aviation electronics, household appliancesWe are currently interviewing for an Electrical Engineer with a PE license to join our team in Stevensville, MD.Primary Duties:Gather information on client s needsPerform site inspection of equipment and facilitiesInterview any and all parties involved in the failure and/or damagePerform any necessary price and technical researchWrite reports and present to client in addition to other parties as necessaryEstablish trusting working relationship with clients, equipment owners, service personnel, and manufacturersTravel to required locations for either site inspection or trial/expert witness requirementsPerform marketing meetings with various clientsPosition Requirements:Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited UniversityPE license is required7+ years practical experience in the power generation or distribution industry is preferredWorking/Practical knowledge of fire origin and cause, and/or other discipline(s) is a plusPast forensic investigation/engineering experience is a big plusRequired Skills include:Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in confined spaces as neededExcellent reading, writing, and comprehension abilitiesProficiency with Microsoft-based computer programs, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointOrganized with the ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to clearly articulate findings to clients both verbally and in written formConfidence/charisma for public speaking engagements to small and large groupsAbility to interact socially and at mixed engagements with clientsProficiency in a language other than English a plus401kFull benefits including Health, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceInternational Travel OpportunitiesExtensive in-house and off-site training opportunitiesOnsite employee fitness centreSteps away from the cross Island Trail and Terrapin Park BeachOnline Application
