Responsibilities
- Timely analysis and reporting of financial information for assigned projects using GAAP and IFRS standards
- Identify and communicate monthly variances for both earnings and revenue compared to prior month, forecast, and budget
- Review of journal entries and other month end close activities
- Develop and maintain standardized reporting across all sub-business lines
- Actively participate in P&L reviews
- Utilize effective listening skills in order to understand project requests and implement creative solutions to support project requests as well as identify and communicate problems in a diplomatic fashion to management and project managers
- Ensure contract terms are followed in liaison with director including the review of pricing prior to presentation to the customer
- Participate in and coordinates monthly forecasts and annual budget with business line leadership and others on the Finance Team
- In addition to the Essential Functions, also perform similar work-related duties as assigned. Duties may change by direction of the Director Finance.
Qualifications- Solid understanding of US GAAP and IFRS
- Strong systems knowledge that includes advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of financial systems and reporting tools
- Experience with monthly close process and working with Great Plains or similar ERP system required
- Experience with Adaptive Insights a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the finance team and to partner with key business stakeholders
- Ability to develop, analyze, report, and interpret large data set on material, labor, travel, and other P&L expenses
- Must be eligible to work in the US
- 5+ years of progressive experience working in accounting and finance
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
- CPA and/or MBA a plus
- Public accounting experience a plus
- Experience working for the government or a government contractor an advantage
