Job Details
The Engineering Supervisor position at the Hotel/Resort Facilities Maintenance involves hands-on work with some administrative responsibilities. The supervisor is responsible for leading the engineering department to improve service, productivity, and accountability while building strong relationships with associates and managers.
Responsibilities
- Plunge toilets and unclog drains in guest rooms and public areas
- Repair all types of hardware, plumbing, electrical equipment, and cosmetic items
- Handle fire alarm/life safety system emergencies
- Monitor energy usage and look for ways to conserve energy
- Clean, lubricate, and maintain all tools and equipment in the hotel
- Act in an engineering capacity during emergencies to protect guests, associates, and the building
- Maintain a safe work environment by identifying and correcting hazardous conditions
- Log and interpret readings from meters and gauges
- Clean engineering areas as directed
- Provide training and technical advice to other engineers
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of all station equipment.
- Manage and coordinate the work of a team of engineers and technicians.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for station maintenance and operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
- Provide training and support to team members.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment and facilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment or operational issues.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all maintenance activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 3-5 years
- Stand long periods
- Lift 50 lbs
- Background Check
- Driver License
