Job Description:
Our client is looking for an experienced On-Call Registered Nurse for a remarkable opportunity in the field of Home Health. Required Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid associate degree or higher
- An active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) certification/license from the state of New Jersey
- A valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification/license
- At least a year's experience in a Burn Unit/Wound Clinic or expertise in wound care
- At least a year's experience with Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) and Home Health

Preferred Qualifications:
- At least a year's experience in On-call Nursing
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is considered a plus
- Specialized certifications, if any, should be listed

Job Overview:
The successful candidate will be a full-time On-Call Home Health RN based in Union County, NJ. The role encompasses providing skilled nursing care, showcasing effective communication and cooperation, and upholding patient security should be second nature to the candidate. Proficiency in organization, the ability to operate independently, and the commitment to privacy are crucial attributes for this position. The role primarily services Union County, NJ.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct or indirect, holistic nursing care to diverse age and diagnostic groups
- Utilize nursing process principles to assist in data compilation, planning, and assessment of nursing care
- Exhibit profound knowledge and skills in executing preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative nursing care
- Use effective interviewing techniques, set restrictions, and amass data based on role specificities
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with healthcare providers, third parties, patients, and families
- Maintain sensitivity towards the comfort and safety needs of patients
- Monitor patients, record significant conditions and reactions, alert supervisor or Physician regarding patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents
- Respond to life-saving situations according to nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol
- Effectively convey pertinent information to healthcare team members in a timely manner through oral and written communication

Schedule and Shift Details:
- One week on, followed by a week off - Work hours are from 4:30pm to 8:30am
- The position will also require working during one summer and one winter holiday
