Roles and Responsibilities

  • Raters compare two responses and highlight areas to improve AI generated responses, adhering to the following safety categories:
  • Offensive query premise
  • Polarizing politics
  • Mentions or descriptions of violent crime
  • Queries/inputs heavily focused on real life weapons, like guns.
  • However, in some cases the query type lends itself to descriptions of weapons, and unlessthe description is particularly violent or gory, it's okay in that context (e.g. video game queries often mention different types of weapons). See more about this below.
  • Profanity
  • Sexual content or descriptions
  • Health-related content that may be considered graphic or highly private/personal
  • Queries/inputs heavily focused on drugs or alcohol (e.g. cocktail recipes)
  • Topics that may be triggering based on personal experiences or sensitivity (e.g. death)
  • Able to compare different responses, identify errors or guideline deviations, and provide recommendations to rectify such errors or deviations
  • Able to use the specific guidelines for factuality, style, and formatting.
  • Synthesizing information to perform the task and to incorporate editorial review when applicable
  • Ensure adherence to QA framework and participate in the QA process when applicable.


Skills Needed

  • Masters degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Teaching, or a related field preferred.
  • High proficiency in the given Language (Writing and Speaking)
  • Must be a native
  • 100% work from office
  • Regular day shift
  • Comfortable working overtime in case of business needs
  • Comfortable working on sensitive/objectionable content
  • Prefer 1 to 3 years professional writing experience in the fields of tech writing, copywriting, journalism, editorial, support, UX writing, or linguistics. Experience following a style guide and writing to a specific voice and tone is preferred. Ability to synthesize and validate information is a must.
  • Candidates with professional experience in editing and proofreading are preferred
  • Good candidates include, but are not limited to: journalists, technical writers, web content writers, copy writers, current affairs writers and editors, English teachers, and expert AI teachers.
