Your new company:

Representing a 50+ year established real estate developer, owner, and operator are looking to hire a Junior Designer/Space Planner to their team. This is a brand new position being hired due to the fantastic performance and growth of the team. Successful applicants will have with 1-4 years of design or space planner experience within a construction, architecture or real estate company or have an education in design/architecture and spent time in the construction and real estate industry.


Your new role:

  • Meet with potential and existing clients to determine space plan requirements.
  • Develop a space plan based on those requirements.
  • Generate pricing drawings to forward to Interior Construction Department to prepare construction estimate.
  • Prepare final set of drawings for construction and permitting purposes.
  • Meet with clients to select finishes.
  • Coordinate planning and construction process with all vendors.
  • Coordination between the Leasing Department and Interior Construction Department
  • Update and organize existing CAD/Revit drawings and tenant files located on the company network.
  • Coordinate with office staff to ensure current and prior drawing files are organized and up to date.
  • Potential on site meetings at client locations or within the existing portfolio to impact drawings.


Successful applicant requirements:

  • 1-5 years of construction of design or space planner experience. Experience could have been with a real estate company, construction general contractor or design firm.
  • Bachelor s degree in ideally in design but also open to Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Business Management if you have experience in using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Must be competent in using Revit and AutoCAD technology.
  • Comfortable in travelling throughout the Northern Virginia (Loudoun County area) and Frederick County.


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base salary in the $60k-$95k range depending on skill set and experience.
