Resp & QualificationsPURPOSE:Partners with business, technical, and product leaders to review current and future technical capabilities and develop plans to address critical capability gaps. Responsible for aligning with corporate vision and strategy and setting direction for solution architecture function. Leads the development of innovative solutions in support of major transformational initiatives, balancing these solutions against cost, schedule, function, quality, and other business considerations. Ensure solution architecture aligns with enterprise architecture and balances the perspectives from all domain architecture.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Solution architecture delivery and implementation governance:Serve as a senior thought leader, partnering with business and technical leaders to develop strategies, identify and address resource needs, and review progress on top corporate technical opportunities. Direct and oversee the solution architecture development, architecture roadmaps, and implementation in one or more large complex portfolios or product lines. Enforce and report all variances to technology directions and standards as needed. Research, evaluate and select from existing and emerging technologies the options best fitting business and IT strategic needs. Multi-project management accountabilities in developing and architecting solutions in a collaborative environment. Architect future-oriented solutions across multiple hardware/software computing environments and system components.Business and technology strategy alignment:Partner with enterprise architecture leaders, business and technology leaders to appropriately align IT to strategic business needs and deliver business outcomes. Develop and maintain an ongoing partnership with the business to apply in-depth knowledge of the business operations, strategies, priorities and information requirements to establish the technical direction and an enterprise view. Support enterprise efforts to define enterprise level strategies, roadmap and technical direction.Stakeholder relationship, including internal and external stakeholders:Develop, maintain on-going collaboration and partnership with all internal and external stakeholders, including business customers, delivery partners within the delivery lifecycle, and architecture partners across different architecture disciplines. Contribute to technology strategy and solutions to support strategic alignment.Solution Architecture Process Improvement and Governance:Partner with enterprise architecture leaders, define the vision, process and practices in enterprise solution architecture development and governance process. Ensure architecture principles, enterprise standards, and best practices are adhered to in the adoption of new technologies. Ensure architecture process consistency across the portfolios and product lines.Architecture organization and talent development:Set up the vision and establish goals for solution architecture team. Lead planning for future state staffing and organization alignment in support of portfolio execution. Build, lead, and manage a solution architecture team of senior technical and solution architects. Anticipate, plan and hire the architecture resources needed to support the lines of business modernization and major enhancement initiatives. Facilitate effective training and talent development process to meet the ever-changing technology and business landscape.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:This position manages people.QUALIFICATIONS:Education Level: bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field OR in lieu of a bachelors degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.Experience* 12 years related professional experience.* 9 years experience Solution Architecture Management role* 7 years Management experience* Healthcare experience a plusPreferred Qualifications* Master's degreeKnowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet deadlines.* Ability to identify gaps in existing system functionality.* Proficient in authoring, editing, and presenting technical documents.* Understanding of complex enterprise solutions.* Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities, deadlines, and workloads that can be variable for long periods of time. Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence.
