Pancholi Cosmetic Surgery of Las Vegas, is a premier cosmetic surgery clinic, where our work culture is positive, professional, and focused on delivering an exceptional experience to every patient. Our Surgical Nurse is an RN who will serve in the Pre-operative, Operating Room, and Recovery room areas and assures that quality care is administered and maintained.
Our RN delivers a consistent and polished positive patient experience, building relationships, and making patients comfortable from the moment they enter our center. She has superior customer service skills, is naturally friendly, presents well to our most discriminating, educated and demanding clients and understands that attention to detail is paramount.
Job Summary and Requirements
The Surgical nurse is involved in all phases of surgery and is able to guide the patient through this experience. At a minimum, the RN is responsible for delivering direct patient care, including recovery, OR circulation and patient education. She is accountable for planning, implementing, evaluating and communicating all phases of nursing surgical care for our patients.
Essential Abilities
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the need for minimal supervision
Comfort with recovery and ACLS with calm and clear leadership in all situations
Anticipate and prepare for needs before, during, and after surgery
IV placement
Foley Catheter placement
Assist anesthesiologist, surgical technician, and surgeon as needed
Assist in escorting, moving, and positioning patient
Nursing recovery care to a point of safe patient discharge
Set-up and operate equipment, as necessary and appropriate
Strict infection control
Providing complete required records and reports for peri-operative charting
Essential Responsibilities
Participating in on-going quality assurance program
Educating patient and family regarding surgery recovery
Participating in cleaning and terminal cleaning of rooms, supplies and equipment to maintain surgical environment
Inventorying all medications and supplies, and reordering as needed
Ensuring chart completeness before and after surgery
Essential Expectations
Function as our practice ambassador and steward a positive message
Maintain positive patient advocacy by resolving complaints and ensuring satisfaction
Provide emotional support for patient pre and post op.
Assist with marketing and social media platforms when appropriate
Maintain complete knowledge of all practice services, surgeries, amenities, and doctors credentials
Required Education & Experience
Registered Nurse (RN)
Bachelor s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
BLS and ACLS American Heart Association Certification and proficiency
Minimum 5 years combined Operating room and ICU
Minimum 2 years in PACU/Recovery
Cosmetic, Aesthetic, or Plastic Surgery experience strongly preferred
Active and unrestricted Nevada nursing license
