Position Overview:

Silver Mirror is seeking a dynamic, experienced, entrepreneurial, innovative, and energetic individual to join our team as the National Director of Marketing. This role is designed for a visionary leader capable of overseeing our marketing strategies at a macro and micro level. The ideal candidate will lead our marketing initiatives and manage a team comprising a Digital Marketing / Partnerships Manager, a Social Media Coordinator, and a Paid Ads agency.


Location: Washington, DC

You'll need to work onsite at one of our DC facial bars at least one day per week.


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base Annual Salary: $120,000.
  • Retention and Bonus Package: Up to $20,000 annually.

Experience Requirements:

  • 10+ years of full-time marketing experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading marketing for a brand or in brand management.
  • 5+ years leading digital marketing efforts (SEM, SEO, Social, etc.).
  • 3+ years in the wellness, beauty, cosmetics, and/or skincare industry.


Responsibilities:


Strategic Marketing Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the company s goals for growth, brand awareness, and customer engagement.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges, and adjust marketing strategy and tactics accordingly.
  • Lead the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring they are innovative, timely, and effective in driving sales and customer loyalty.

Team Management and Collaboration:

  • Manage and mentor the marketing team, including a Digital Marketing / Partnerships Manager, a Social Media Coordinator, and an external Paid Ads agency, fostering a collaborative, productive, and creative work environment.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as Operations and Product Development, to ensure marketing strategies are integrated and support overall business objectives.
  • Organize and lead weekly marketing meetings with the CEO and COO to discuss progress, results, and strategic direction.

Content Creation and Management:

  • Oversee the creation and distribution of engaging, brand-aligned content across various channels, including email marketing, social media, website, and in-store displays.
  • Develop a content calendar that aligns with promotional activities, product launches, and seasonal events, ensuring a consistent and coherent message across all platforms.
  • Monitor and analyze content performance metrics to optimize strategy and return on investment.

Customer Segmentation and Personalized Marketing:

  • Conduct in-depth customer analysis to identify distinct segments based on demographics, behavior, and purchase history.
  • Develop and implement targeted marketing strategies for each segment to enhance customer engagement, retention, and lifetime value.
  • Create personalized email and text marketing campaigns tailored to individual customer needs and preferences.

Paid Advertising and Budget Management:

  • Oversee all paid advertising efforts, including search engine marketing, social media ads, and out-of-home advertising, ensuring they meet budgetary and performance goals.
  • Collaborate with the Paid Ads agency to develop creative and effective advertising strategies, monitor performance, and adjust tactics as necessary.
  • Provide recommendations for budget allocation across different channels and campaigns based on performance data and strategic priorities.

Affiliate and Referral Marketing Programs:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive affiliate marketing strategies, working with platforms like Share-A-Sale to recruit and retain affiliates.
  • Design and implement a referral marketing program using Referral Candy, encouraging existing customers to refer new clients and tracking the effectiveness of referral campaigns.

E-commerce and Product Marketing:

  • Lead the marketing strategy for the launch and growth of the new skincare product line, including positioning, messaging, and go-to-market plans.
  • Manage the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) platform through Shopify, optimizing for user experience, conversion rates, and SEO.
  • Coordinate with the product team to create compelling product descriptions, images, and promotional materials.

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for all marketing activities and regularly report on progress towards goals to the senior management team.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to monitor customer journey and behavior, optimizing marketing strategies and tactics based on insights.
  • Conduct post-campaign analysis to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • In-depth knowledge of current marketing tools, trends, and strategies.
