**Position Summary:**
Under general direction of the Location General Manager, manage and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers, such as inspectors, precision workers, machine setters and operators and assemblers.
**Essential Functions:**
* Enforce safety and sanitation regulations by working in a safe and productive manner at all times while adhering to Laron Safety Policies, by considering safety when planning a job, recognizing and making others aware of potential safety hazards and donning personal protective equipment when necessary
* Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods
* Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports, in order to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
* Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
* Observe work, and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
* Interpret specifications, drawings, job orders, and company policies and procedures.
* Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
* Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines.
* Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work.
* Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
* Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
* Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations.
* Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometers.
* Set controls to regulate machining, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
* Position and fasten work pieces.
* Perform self evaluation in regards to quality for all work performed and complete all associated quality documentation in a timely and accurate manner
* Maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
* Responsible for personnel direction to include; yet not limited to: developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time
* Offers input on employee performance evaluations and consults with manager prior to any disciplinary conversations or actions are administered
* Effectively and professionally interface, communicate, negotiate and problem solve with customers
* Perform Safety audits of work area. Respond appropriately to deficiencies found. Conduct safety trainings as instructed by management
* Requisition appropriate material needed for current and pending jobs
* Accomplish material receipt inspection
* Perform / Assist in the performance of preventive maintenance of all shop equipment
* Maintain Minimum Tool List

* Confer with supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
