BTI360 is seeking an experienced and talented Senior UX/UI Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Human-Centered Design principles, with a proven track record of delivering user-centric solutions. The Senior UX/UI Designer will play a crucial role in crafting innovative and intuitive user experiences for our products, collaborating closely with customers and development teams.

Responsibilities:

  1. User-Centric Design: Apply Human-Centered Design methodologies to understand user needs, pain points, and behaviors. Utilize this understanding to create user flows, low-fidelity wireframes, and high-fidelity mock-ups.
  2. Collaboration with Customers: Work closely with customers to gather insights, feedback, and requirements. Translate these findings into design solutions that align with both user expectations and business goals.
  3. Technical Feasibility: Collaborate with development teams to ensure proposed designs are technically feasible. Bridge the gap between design and development, fostering a collaborative environment to create innovative and feasible products.
  4. Prototyping and Validation: Rapidly iterate and validate design concepts through prototyping, usability testing, and feedback loops. Use tools such as Figma or Adobe XD to create interactive prototypes that effectively communicate design intent.
  5. Design System Development: Establish and maintain a comprehensive design system to ensure a consistent and cohesive user experience across our products. Contribute to the evolution of the design system as the product and user needs evolve.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other stakeholders, to ensure alignment between design and business objectives. Advocate for user experience excellence throughout the product development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in UX design, with a portfolio showcasing successful projects and a strong understanding of Human-Centered Design principles.
  2. Clearance: U.S. Citizenship/Security Clearance: TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
  3. Tools: Proficient in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or equivalent, with a strong ability to create both low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity mock-ups.
  4. Collaboration Skills: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with customers, development teams, and other stakeholders. Strong communication skills to convey design rationale and gather feedback.
  5. Innovative Thinking: Passion for pushing the boundaries of design and creating innovative products. Ability to balance creativity with practical considerations for technical feasibility.
  6. Design System Experience: Experience in developing and maintaining design systems to ensure a consistent and scalable user experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. User Research: Experience conducting user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to inform design decisions and enhance the overall user experience.
  2. Information Architecture: Proficiency in organizing and structuring information effectively, creating sitemaps, and designing intuitive navigation systems.
  3. Interaction Design: Strong skills in designing interactive elements, animations, and micro-interactions to enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
  4. Visual Design: A keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail in creating visually appealing interfaces, including a solid understanding of color theory, typography, and iconography.
  5. Mobile and Responsive Design: Experience designing for various screen sizes and platforms, with an understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first approaches.
  6. Prototyping Ability: Familiarity with prototyping tools and experience creating wireframes, low or high-fidelity prototypes, mockups, or user flows.
  7. Accessibility: Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and experience designing inclusive interfaces that cater to users with diverse needs and abilities.
  8. Collaboration Tools: Proficient in using collaboration and project management tools such as Slack, Jira, or Trello to streamline communication and workflow.
  9. User Persona Development: Ability to create and utilize user personas to guide design decisions and ensure alignment with target audience needs.
  10. Agile/Scrum Methodologies: Understanding of Agile development processes and experience working in a collaborative, iterative environment.
  11. Continuous Learning: Demonstrate a commitment to staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices.
